The Safety 1st Apex Car Sear manufactured by Cosco who is now Safety 1st manufactured this child seat to be less expensive choice while still keeping your child safer. This is very important today that your child rides safely but still comfortable.

Safety 1st Apex has the advantage of the 5 point buckle system and the top harness slot setting is 17.5 inches which allows a taller child to stay secured while in the seat. The only seat that is a bit higher is the expensive Britax Regent. This child seat is usually high enough and it has a top harness slot of 20 inches. The harness slot is easily tightened or loosened with the front adjuster making it even more user friendly for the parent. You must remove the seat and undo the straps to re-thread this belt height. The seat is really not that difficult to remove and install.

Safety 1st Apex Seat can only be used as a front facing car seat it is not geared for an infant child; however, you can put a child in it that is light as 20 lbs. You can use the seat for a child that is one years old if the baby weighs enough. The car seat does need to be used in a car that has built in headrests in order for your child to feel fully comfortable. The seat does include a padded removable insert that makes it more comfortable for smaller children. It is advisable to use this car seat for children who are two years of age or older. The smaller one year old might swim in the car seat since it is so large.

In order to change the belt height you must remove the seat and undo the straps to re-thread, the car seat is easy to install it in any car as it comes with a back tether strap and LATCH attachment for easy installation.
